Material Media - A Small Press that Cares

Material Media was started in 2007 when Wait for the Wonder, a book of dramatic monologs, was published as an audio book at the request of the author and dramatist, Katrina Katsarka Whitely. At that same time Elizabeth Cauthorn, a recently retired bookseller and owner of Material Media, was asked to become involved with helping John Philip Newell with some of his publications.

Material Media supports Salva Terra, a 501 (c)(3) organization, by publishing books and CD's by John Philip Newell for the trade and distributing all of his published material to venues for his speaking engagements.

Inspired by the vision of John Philip Newell and Ali Newell, who speak from within the Christian household to journey in communion with humanity's great wisdom traditions, Salva Terra seeks to listen to the Spirit at the heart of the human soul and the universe.
