Permanently Closed.. Owner Roland "Nightrocker” Fuentes plays against type with his latest funky hotspot. It's far beyond SoFlo, across the street from the Efrain Gutierrez Taller de Cine, Arte, Musica y Comida cultural center and gallery, and just east of Burbank High School. Though it opened Feb. 25 with the roaring punk of the Sons of Hercules inside, Fuentes isn't programming a lot of music yet at the down-home neighborhood bar, which he stresses is not a rock bar. He is, however, building an outdoor stage for an eclectic mix of live entertainment. Right now, Gold Bar is just a hip, off-the-trail hangout and pool joint.
