Description
Come see early bloomers and other coming attractions of Spring in San Antonio! Moderate intensity hike; participants must be able to walk over rocky, uneven ground.
Event Details
Who is Invited: Open to ages 8 and over; minors must be accompanied by their parent or legal guardian. No pets please.
Registration, Fees, Day Pass & Cancellation: Registration is required for this hike. Program group size is limited. Sorry, no group registrations.
Registration opens on Saturday, two weeks prior to the event, and closes at noon, the Thursday before the event. Though the hike is free, entrance fees to the Natural Area apply.
To ensure entrance and save time at the Fee Booth please pre-purchase and PRINT OUT a Day Pass. SPECIAL NOTE: Reserving a Day Pass is NOT the same as making a program reservation.
This outing is subject to cancellation. Check trail conditions by going to the GCSNA twitter feed or the Government Canyon State Natural Area Facebook page.
When & Where to Meet: Arrive no later than 8:45AM. Meet at the Visitor Center Rock Garden.
The Natural Area can be very busy! The Natural Area front gates open at 7:00AM; plan to be at the Visitor Center and ready to go no later than 8:45AM. The hike starts promptly at 9:00AM.
What to Wear & Bring: Dress for the weather; sturdy shoes, sun protection and at least 1 liter of water per person strongly recommended.
