Description
La Villita Historic Arts Village along the banks of the San Antonio River offers a combination of art galleries, distinctive shops and fine dining experiences in a historically significant setting. This "little town” was one of San Antonio's first neighborhoods in the 18th century and restored in the 1930s with help from the Works Progress Administration. Some of the WPA-era artwork is still on view in the courtyards and buildings.
Its shaded plazas and walkways also host some of San Antonio's best events, with festivals, concerts and celebrations scheduled year-round. In addition, La Villita can provide a charming backdrop for your private event. Its four plazas and unique Arneson River Theatre are available for rent to groups as large as 2,500. Come discover this little treasure in the heart of downtown San Antonio.
